Craft PXC Thermal top

GearFlogger reviews the Craft PXC Thermal top

Craft has done a good job of positioning themselves as a premium brand, with premium pricing justified by impeccably designed and built apparel. The Craft PXC Thermal top is a great piece for all you cold warriors out there.

The PXC is part of Craft's nordic collection, but it's equally at home as a first or second layer on any cool weather active jaunt. Bikers and skiers will appreciate the streamlined fit, dual stash pockets on the back and the small chest pocket for ID, cards, keys or music. The deep front zip is different from most half-zips in that it is backed by a mesh fabric so it doesn't expose bare skin. At high velocity or in high winds you get the cooling without the cold, and when you hit the pub you can vent without looking like a wanna-be porn star. A tiny but effective zipper guard prevents vampire bites.

The PXC features a soft brushed inner face that, combined with intelligently placed flat seams, just the right amount of stretch and a drop tail hem with sticky grabbers make for a perfect fit that stays where you want it. The material breathes very well, so the PXC is your buddy on high-output outings or as a single layer with a wind shell in cooler conditions. It even seems to be impervious to funkiness, making it a perfect fall companion.
